Bronte Remembers Daniel Chariandy
Daniel Chariandy, accomplished owner of Diamondcraft Custom Jewellery Boutique on Bronte Road, passed away on May 11, 2022.
Daniel moved from Trinidad in the mid 1970s and worked as a jeweller in Toronto before taking over Diamondcraft in 1999. Known as an artist who was able to repair or alter every type of jewellery, he operated his business in Bronte for over 22 years.
“Daniel was our family’s jeweller for many years. We have beautiful pieces that he created, including my wedding ring as well as my husband’s. He was incredibly kind and gracious, and had an impact on so many people in the Oakville community.” – Susan Davison
Daniel enjoyed chatting with his loyal customers, many of whom became his friends. He will be remembered for his dedication to his clients and his craft and for exemplifying the hard work of a small business owner.
