Bandology Bucket Drumming Workshops

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Willow Tree

Bandology, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to music for kids, will be hosting FREE bucket drumming workshops every Saturday in May & June from 1pm to 3pm. Fun for ages 1 to 99, stop by and learn about the power of music, collaboration and community. No experience required.

The Bronte Pollinator Garden

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Under the Sails

Join Oakvillegreen Conservation Association Tuesday, May 28 from 4pm to 6pm and help to create a Bronte Pollinator Garden! 🌸

The canoe was part of a community art project led by Arthouse Halton and now we want you to help transform it into a garden that will attract 🐝 & 🦋.

Oakville Festivals of Film & Art: Movie Under the Stars

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Gazebo

OFFAFilm.ca and the businesses of the Bronte BIA present a FREE Movie Under the Stars. The featured film is Back to the Future! Bring a chair or a blanket, invite your friends and family to join you and sit back and enjoy the show!

The movie will begin around 9pm, but arrive early to get a good seat and to take part in the OFFA giveaways!

Host a Veteran’s Derby

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park

Saturday, June 8 is the 11th Annual Veteran’s Salmon Derby in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. Recognize the service of Canadian veterans while you enjoy a FREE outdoor adventure on Lake Ontario!

Meet at 6am under the gazebo for a day of fishing with veterans, followed by an afternoon BBQ, fish weigh-in and awards ceremony. Register in advance.

OPL Under the Sails

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park

Spend your summer with the Oakville Public Library! Starting June 13 in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, join the OPL on Thursday mornings for family storytime fun! Get moving and grooving with stories and songs (ages 6M to 5Y) and stick around for all-ages play. Families will enjoy intergenerational games, the Bronte ON THE GO Book Bike and OPL activities in the park.

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Sails Stage

Bronte Lake Notes is returning to the sails stage Thursdays at 7pm in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park starting June 20 until August 29. Featuring contemporary music from hot local bands, the FREE concerts are for everyone – young and old – and invite audiences to dance, sing and celebrate together while enjoying gorgeous views of the harbour. This event is presented by The Bronte Historical Society and sponsored by the Bronte BIA, Amica Senior Lifestyles, Viva Retirement Communities, Visit Oakville, The Town of Oakville and Catania Worldwide.

Walk & Talk History

Sovereign House – 7 West River Street

Put on a comfortable pair of shoes and join the Bronte Historical Society for a FREE walking tour of our district. Starting at Sovereign House, you’ll enjoy a fascinating and informative tour while you learn about Bronte from a historical lens. Develop an enhanced understanding of where Bronte has been and where it’s going. Each walk departs at 3pm* and will last for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

On July 1, starting at 4pm in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, you’re invited to join the Town of Oakville’s fun-filled evening of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, tasty food trucks and dazzling fireworks display (weather permitting). Take the free shuttle from Bronte GO Station provided by the Town of Oakville.

Oakville Wind Orchestra Summer Concert Series

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Gazebo

The Oakville Wind Orchestra, Canada’s oldest community concert band, invites you join them for six FREE family-friendly lakeside concerts. Bring a chair and take a musical journey through the ages! Each performance starts at 7pm and runs for 1-hour.

Art in the Park

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park

Art in the Park is back Monday, August 5 from 10am to 5pm! The event will feature more than 180 artists and artisans from across Canada. Every medium will be represented, from traditional oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, sculptures and fine jewellery.

Bring your pup – dogs are welcome!

Admission is $10 (cash only), children 12 and under are free.

CRAFT Live Afro-Caribbean Canadian Waterfront Fete

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park

Come together to dance, sing and celebrate the vast contributions and influences of African, Caribbean and Black Canadians in shaping our community, culture and economy.

Produced by BLingeventsinternational, the event will feature amazing music (Soca, Calypso, Reggae, Steelpan, R&B, Afro Beats, Disco, Jazz, Blues, and Funk & Soul!) vendors and a live DJ. Free and fun for all ages, this celebration of culture is not to be missed!

Spread the word and spread the warmth – and donate your gently used winter wear (coats, boots, mitts, hats & gloves) to local families in need. Bring your gently used items to St. Dominic Church (2415 Rebecca St) on September 7, 14, 21 and 28 between 10am and 1pm.

The 11th Annual Bronte Coat Drive will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
