Library ON THE GO Book Bike

The Oakville Public Library’s Library ON THE GO Book Bike is back in Bronte for the winter season! Tucked inside of RBC, think of it as an ice cream truck…but for books! This amenity features reading material for all ages that you can take or borrow.

Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs – 9:30am to 5pm

Friday – 9:30am to 6pm

Saturday – 9am to 4pm

Bronte Market Square – 2445 Lakeshore Rd W

Ring-in the season with friends and neighbours at the Bronte Village tree lighting celebration! Enjoy holiday treats from local vendors, photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus and festive entertainment. Everyone is welcome – the more the merrier…literally!

Basics to Birding: Walk & Workshop

Bronte Harbour – Butterfly Gazebo

Want to learn basic bird identification skills, learn local birds, and explore hotspots in Oakville for bird activity? Join Oakvillegreen at the Butterfly Gazebo for a walk around Bronte Harbour.

Explore the harbour, from the marina to Bronte Beach Park, looking for different birds in different environments. Oakvillegreen will provide background on popular species and tips and tricks for supporting local birds. The walk is approximately 2km, occasionally on uneven terrain.

Binoculars can be loaned for this FREE event. Register here.

Bandology Bucket Drumming Workshops

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Willow Tree

Bandology, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to music for kids, will be hosting FREE bucket drumming workshops all summer long. Fun for ages 5 to 95, stop by and learn about the power of music, collaboration and community. No experience required.

Oakville Festivals of Film & Art: Movie Under the Stars

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Gazebo

OFFA, Film.ca and the businesses of the Bronte BIA present a FREE Movie Under the Stars. The featured film will be a classic – Jurassic Park! Bring a chair or a blanket, invite your friends and family to join you and sit back and enjoy as dinosaurs take over Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park for the night. Free popcorn and water will be available.

The movie will begin around 9pm, but arrive early to get a good seat and to take part in the OFFA giveaways!

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Sails Stage

Bronte Lake Notes is returning to the sails stage Thursdays at 7pm in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. Featuring contemporary music from hot local bands, the FREE concerts are for everyone – young and old – and invite audiences to dance, sing and celebrate together while enjoying gorgeous views of the harbour. This event is presented by The Bronte Historical Society and sponsored by RBC, Amica and the Bronte BIA.

Walk & Talk History

Sovereign House – 7 West River Street, Oakville

Put on a comfortable pair of shoes and join the Bronte Historical Society for a FREE walking tour of our district. Starting at Sovereign House, you’ll enjoy a fascinating and informative tour while you learn about Bronte from a historical lens. Develop an enhanced understanding of where Bronte has been and where it’s going. Each walk departs at 3pm and will last for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Please register for your walking tour today.

Produced by @blingeventsinternational, the CRAFT Live-Afro Caribbean Canadian Waterfront Fete is a FREE, fun-packed event for the whole family!
