Local Arts Market: August 7
In a nod to normalcy, check out a one-day Bronte Arts Market at Walton United Church parking lot (2489 Lakeshore Rd W @ Bronte Rd) on Saturday, August 7 from 11am-6pm. It’s hosted by a local artist & resident, Goodfarken Tee Bags, as a way to support local artists, makers and small businesses.
There are 25 vendors showcasing photography, stained glass, plants and apparel. It’s both a people and pet friendly event. Wearing of masks is recommended.
Some parking onsite. But, lots of paid parking throughout the district at curbside (free on Saturdays, paid during the week) or there’s a huge municipal lot on Ontario St. @ Nelson. Stroll the district via Marine Dr. then Bronte Rd. on your way to the Market. Or ride your bike and park at one of two 12-bike corrals on Bronte Rd @ Marine Dr and walk the 5 minutes north. Read more parking options.
While you’re in the Village, stop for lunch at one of 20 patios, or stroll with an ice cream or gelato from The Flavour Fox, Duckies Dairy Bar or Chestnut Café, or a pick up a fair-trade coffee from Taste of Colombia. Or, finally get that haircut or pedicure. Call ahead or drop in.
