Celebrating Bike Month: Wheels of Oakville
June is Bike Month! It’s an opportunity to try riding a bike for the first time, learn new skills, or simply have fun and while staying socially distanced. No one knows bikes better in Bronte than Wheels of Oakville. Originally founded in Toronto as Wheels of Bloor owner Peter Adach opened the Bronte location 10 years ago. There are now a total of four locations that help riders establish their best biking abilities. The Bronte BIA got a chance to interview store mechanic and bike specialist Fulvio Cubello to get his insights about the business and his love for biking.
Fulvio started at Wheels of Oakville just over a year ago, however has been in the bike industry since 1985. His experience with masters racing and his knowledge of bike mechanics makes him a valuable asset to Peter and the store. Outside of being the shop mechanic, Fulvio also works with a lot of young athletes who bike professionally.
Wheels of Oakville specializes in racing bikes, tri-athlete bikes and gravel bikes as well as accessories. It’s known for higher-end bikes and getting its customers cycling for fitness rather than leisure. Despite focusing on more high-level sport biking, Wheels of Oakville places a lot of emphasis on safety and are always open to answer general question about riding and how to make the most out of cycling.
