Saturday, June 13, 2026 is the Annual Veteran’s Salmon Derby in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. Recognize the service of Canadian veterans while you enjoy a FREE outdoor adventure on Lake Ontario!
Meet at 6am under the gazebo for a day of fishing with veterans, followed by an afternoon BBQ, fish weigh-in and awards ceremony. Register in advance.

Celebrate Father’s Day weekend with fishing fun and conservation at our Father’s Day Weekend Kids Fishing Derby! This free community event is open to kids and families, with prizes and giveaways, fishing gear available to borrow, and a chance to learn the basics of fishing in a fun, hands-on setting.

This year, we’re inviting residents, families, businesses, schools, and community groups to help us paint 50+ new Muskoka chairs for Bronte’s waterfront. Each chair is more than just a seat – it’s a unique canvas, a storytelling piece, and a vibrant addition to our public spaces

Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park – Butterfly Gazebo
The Oakville Wind Orchestra, Canada’s oldest community concert band, will host six FREE, family-friendly concerts. Take a toe-tapping journey through the ages under the gazebo at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.

Celebrate the vibrancy and richness of Latin culture at the 5th Annual Oakville Latino Festival! Spend a day (or the entire weekend!) enjoying food, dance, music and art in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.

Art in the Park is back Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10AM to 5PM! The event will feature more than 180 artists and artisans from across Canada. Every medium will be represented, from traditional oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, sculptures and fine jewellery.
Bring your pup – dogs are welcome!
Admission is $10 for one, $15 for two(cash only), children 12 and under are free.

Come together to dance, sing and celebrate the vast contributions and influences of African, Caribbean and Black Canadians in shaping our community, culture and economy.
