THE BASICS:
- Job Title: Major Community Projects Coordinator
Location: Bronte Village, Oakville
Start Date: June 23, 2025
End Date: August 24, 2025
Hours: 30 hours/week
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule:- June 23–27: Monday to Friday, 9AM–3PM
- June 30–August 24:
- Sundays: 7AM–3PM
- Monday–Thursday: 9AM–2:30PM
- Off on Fridays & Saturdays
- Stat holidays are July 1 & August 4
This role is funded in part by the Canada Summer Jobs program, so applicants must be between 15 and 30 years old, and be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee protection status.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
No two days are the same! You’ll:
- Be part of the team behind the Bronte Farmers’ Market, helping with set-up, teardown, surveys, and on-site coordination
- Manage the beloved OPL Book Bike program
- Keep our public spaces looking great with light maintenance and inspections
- Help promote Bronte through social media, photography, and community engagement
- Support local events, including Bronte Lake Notes and the Bronte Falling for Fun Festival
- Create and deliver an end-of-summer report to capture your impact
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re seeking someone who:
- Loves community, people, and being outdoors
- Is confident, creative, and a strong communicator
- Can juggle multiple tasks and stay organized
- Feels comfortable working independently – and as part of a small team
This role is ideal for students interested in event planning, marketing, tourism, community development, placemaking, or just looking to make a difference locally this summer.
