WANTED: Live Performers at The Bronte Farmers’ Market

Help us bring The Bronte Farmers’ Market to life with live music & performances! Hone your skills, create a shared cultural experience for market shoppers and animate the Market Square in your own unique way. The Bronte BIA is proud to support local entertainers that will make our first-ever Farmers’ Market a fun and vibrant experience for everyone. All performers will be paid a stipend for their time and talent.

The Bronte Farmers’ Market will take place every Sunday in July & August from 11am to 3pm in Bronte Market Square – 2445 Lakeshore Rd W.

HOW TO APPLY

Interested in becoming a market performer? Complete our Performer Application Form. We’ll review your application and contact you about scheduling. Please note: only approved applicants are invited to perform at the market.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • All performances will take place outdoors in Bronte Market Square.
  • We’ll schedule two performers for each Market Day; 11am to 1pm and 1pm to 3pm.
  • Performances should be appropriate for a family-based audience.
  • Bronte BIA staff will confirm approved performance dates. If you need to cancel a scheduled performance, please contact us as soon as possible so we can find a replacement.
  • We welcome acoustic musical performances, magicians, mimes, jugglers, etc.
  • Music should be a background sound for passersby to enjoy, allowing our vendors to communicate with their customers and our visitors and local residents to chat with each other.
  • Performers may put out a hat or case to collect money.
  • Performers under 18 must have the approval of their legal guardian.
  • Performers under 16 should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
