Summer 2026 Job Alert: Major Community Projects Coordinator

Love community, events, and being outdoors? Want to spend your summer helping make Bronte Village shine? The Bronte BIA is looking for a Major Community Projects Coordinator to join our team!

THANKS TO THE CANADA SUMMER JOBS GRANT, THIS ROLE IS YOUR CHANCE TO:

  • Coordinate and support the Bronte Farmers’ Market – set up & teardown, greet visitors, chat with vendors, and help the market run smoothly every Sunday in July & August (9 weeks)
  • Bring summer events to life – from Bronte Lake Notes concerts, Oakville Public Library Family Storytimes and Bachata Dance Parties
  • Beautify our public spaces – litter patrol, maintaining Muskoka chairs, and keeping the waterfront and village sparkling
  • Track and share data – help us measure visitor experiences to keep improving our neighbourhood
  • Engage the public – distribute our Look Local Bronte Visitor Guide, parking maps and event posters and support BIA marketing initiatives, including social media

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Students aged 15 to 30
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons with refugee protection
  • Friendly, organized, and ready to chat with anyone who visits Bronte
  • Comfortable working outside, walking, and standing for long periods
  • Willing to work every Sunday in July & August (Farmers’ Market) and some evenings to support events (Bronte Lake Notes, Bachata)
  • Creative thinkers who can juggle multiple tasks and help bring ideas to life

DETAILS:

  • Start: June 22, 2026 | End: August 30, 2026 (10 weeks total)
  • Hours: 30 per week | $20/hr
  • Schedule:
    • Sundays | 7AM-3PM (Farmers’ Market)
    • Monday-Thursday | 5.5 hours daily
    • Fridays & Saturdays | OFF

Bonus: You’ll also manage the OPL ON THE GO Bronte Book Bike, help with surveys & data reports, and contribute to social media & marketing content.
