Lakeshore Rd. W.: Virtual Consultation
Between April 6-20, residents are invited to comment on the town’s Environmental Assessment (EA) study of Lakeshore Road West from Mississauga Street to Dorval Drive, which includes the Bronte. The study looks at current and future traffic needs and find ways to improve vehicle, cyclist, and pedestrian accessibility and safety.
The study is considering a wide range of options including continuous sidewalks, multi-use paths, on-road bike lanes, separated turn lanes, and improvements to pavement and drainage conditions.
The town’s Livable Oakville Plan and Active Transportation Master Plan both identified the need for improvements on this stretch of Lakeshore Road West to meet the town’s vision and growth demands to 2031.
