Join Us in Giving Back this August

The heart of Bronte Village has always been its people.

It’s the neighbours who lend a helping hand, the volunteers who generously give their time, the local businesses that support community initiatives, and the families who come together to make Bronte such a welcoming place to call home. It’s these everyday acts of kindness and generosity that define our community, and we’re grateful to be part of it.

This August, we’re inviting our community to continue that spirit of giving by supporting two local donation drives that will make a meaningful difference for families right here in Oakville.

Fill the Bin for Kerr Street Mission

Enjoy an evening of live music by the lake while helping stock the shelves at Kerr Street Mission.

As you head to Bronte Lake Notes, bring along a non-perishable food donation to help “Fill the Bin.” Every donation will support Kerr Street Mission’s community market, providing healthy food and essential support to individuals and families facing financial hardship in our community.

Whether it’s a few pantry staples or a bag of groceries, every contribution helps ensure local families have access to nutritious meals.

Fill the Big Yellow Chair for the Bronte Coat Drive

Winter may feel far away, but now is the perfect time to help a neighbour prepare for the colder months ahead.

When you visit the Bronte Farmers’ Market, bring a gently used coat, hat, boots, gloves, or other winter essentials and help us “Fill the Big Yellow Chair.” All donations will support the Bronte Coat Drive, a dedicated group of local volunteers working to ensure no one in our community goes without warm clothing this winter.

Donations of all sizes – from children’s winter gear to adult coats – are welcomed and appreciated.
