Have Your Say: Help Shape the Future of Bronte’s Waterfront

The Town of Oakville is developing a Bronte Waterfront Strategy to reimagine the area as a vibrant, connected, and year-round destination for both residents and visitors. Community input will guide the strategy, which will go to Council in early 2026.

Key focus areas include:

  • Connectivity and access
  • Year-round activities and events
  • Wayfinding and signage
  • Future of the Bronte Boathouse and Metro Marine Building
  • Enhancements to surrounding parks and public spaces

Project Timeline:

  • Phase 1 (Aug–Oct 2025): Understand current challenges and opportunities
  • Phase 2 (Nov 2025–Jan 2026): Explore design and program options
  • Phase 3 (Jan–Mar 2026): Finalize the preferred plan

Get Involved – Upcoming Engagements:

  • Aug 23–24 & Aug 30–Sept 1: Visit the roaming info station at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, Fisherman’s Wharf, or the Bronte Farmers Market to share your ideas
  • Aug 27: Book a 15-minute one-on-one (phone or virtual) with a project consultant – email bronte@planpart.ca
  • Sept 16: Join an in-person workshop at Walton United Church (3–5 p.m. or 6:30–8:30 p.m.)

More engagement opportunities and an online survey will follow in November 2025 and January 2026. Stay updated at the Bronte Waterfront Strategy page.
