Get to Know C’est La Vie Wellness

Meet Lyne Desforges, co-owner of C’est La Vie Wellness with her two daughters, Danika and Sofie. Lyne specializes in nutrition counselling and Danika specializes in mental health counselling. They made the move to Bronte from Burlington in 2018 shortly after Sofie graduated and joined the business with her expertise in naturopathic medicine. Their three wellness-related backgrounds are what makes C’est La Vie Wellness the successful clinic it is today.

What are you known for?

Lyne and her family are bilingual, hence how they got their business name. The saying ‘C’est La Vie,’ meaning ‘such is life,’ went well with their core brand of embracing one’s life and how their business can help you live the best life possible. The business provides a wholistic practice supporting a client in body, mind, and spirit. “When we see someone, we see the whole person and not just one aspect of that person,” says Lyne. The approach is individualized to their clients. Lyne and her team truly get to know their clients and determine the appropriate treatment to support them with their health goals.

Their core services are Naturopathic Medicine & Acupuncture, Nutrition Counselling & Meal Planning, Psychotherapy & Counseling, and Energy Medicine & Reflexology.

What makes you different?

At C’est La Vie Wellness, Lyne and her daughters pride themselves on providing a welcoming and warm atmosphere where clients feel at ease. “[Patients & clients] enjoy being here. The clinic itself has a very Zen feel to it. There is a peaceful relaxing feeling as soon as you step in the door. Our patients and clients also appreciate the professionalism of the staff,” says Lyne. C’est La Vie Wellness not only provides virtual & in-person services, but also sell products to help clients after their visits as well. For their products, they believe in sourcing local and diverse partners whose goals align with their goals and values. For example, they have skin care products created by a naturopath in Toronto, luxury teas made in Oakville, and candles from a company in Cambridge that only hires people on the Autism spectrum. Their dispensary also provides supplements when needed.

Their support for small businesses is also seen through their community board in the clinic where people can put up their business cards and information. They support local small companies that are often home-based, that are aligned with their goals. For example, the art on the walls is from a local artist in Burlington that is also for sale.

What do you love about Bronte?

“Bronte fits perfectly with how our clinic feels on the inside. It is right by the lake which is already so calming, so it matches well with our business. It is a vibrant neighborhood and we love the businesses in the area. We really feel like we are a family and we thank the BIA for that. We try to take advantage of the programs and services the BIA offers which have been so helpful,” says Lyne.

Lyne and her team at C’est La Vie Wellness are happy that all in-person services are back, and they will be able to offer support groups and workshops in the clinic very soon. You can shop online as well with free local delivery and curb-side pickup. Check out their website and socials for more information.
