Community Creativity Comes to Life Along Bronte’s Waterfront

One of Bronte’s most beloved summer traditions has officially returned!

Eighty newly designed Muskoka Chairs have been installed along Bronte’s beautiful waterfront as part of the 2026 At Home in Bronte Muskoka Chair Project, transforming the shoreline into a vibrant outdoor gallery filled with colour, creativity, and community spirit.

Now entering its ninth season, the project continues to showcase the incredible talent and imagination found throughout our community. This year’s collection was created by local artists, residents, businesses, schools, families, and community groups who spent months designing and handcrafting their unique chair creations.

Each chair tells its own story. From whimsical designs and artistic masterpieces to heartfelt tributes and community-inspired themes, every piece reflects the creativity, personality, and pride of the people who brought it to life.

Since launching in 2017, the At Home in Bronte Muskoka Chair Project has invited participants of all ages and artistic abilities to contribute to the waterfront experience. What began as a creative community initiative has grown into a signature feature of Bronte’s waterfront and a favourite attraction for residents and visitors alike.

As you stroll along the waterfront this season, we invite you to take your time exploring the collection, discovering the stories behind each design, and snapping a few photos along the way. It’s a wonderful way to experience the creativity that makes Bronte such a special place to live, work, and visit.

The Bronte BIA extends its sincere thanks to everyone who participated in this year’s project, as well as project sponsor BUM Outdoor Furniture for helping make this community tradition possible.

Planning a visit? Make a day of it in Bronte. Explore the waterfront, discover local shops and restaurants, and experience the creativity, charm, and community spirit that make Bronte Village one of Oakville’s most loved destinations.

A heartfelt thank you to our 2026 artists:
