Commercial Parking in Bronte: Your Input is Needed

The Town of Oakville is conducting a parking study to determine current and future needs of parking within Bronte.

The study will help develop a strategy that will meet parking demands, foster good urban design, support economic development and promote/accommodate cycling, walking and transit.

Following an online survey that was conducted this winter, the town provided an update and sought public input at a virtual meeting on Wednesday, May 18.

This meeting presented parking issues and opportunities for the commercial districts in the Town of Oakville – Downtown Oakville, Kerr Village and Bronte Village. The review included existing commercial parking programs, zoning by-law parking standards for main street commercial and mixed-use developments and addressing future commercial parking supply and operations.

If you were unable to make the virtual meeting, you may watch a recording of the meeting through the town’s YouTube channel.

ANOTHER CHANCE TO HAVE YOUR SAY:

The Town of Oakville has launched a Commercial District Visitor’s Parking Survey. If you have not already done so, please provide your input by participating in the survey by Monday, June 13.
