Canada Day Road Closures

All special event road closures will take effect at 5pm on Friday, July 1. The closures will accommodate a shuttle bus route dropping off visitors. Streets will be closed to regular traffic. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. The ability to leave the closure area cautiously will be available, but not to enter the premises.

  • Lakeshore Road W between Jones Street and West River Street

North of Lakeshore Road W

  • East Street between Belyea Street and Sovereign Street; local access only
  • Sovereign Street between Bronte Road and Jones Street; local access only – no access to Bronte Road
  • Belyea Street between Bronte Road and Jones Street; local access only – no access to Bronte Road
  • Hixon Street between Bronte Road and Jones Street; local access only – no access to Bronte Road

South of Lakeshore Road W

  • East Street between Marine Drive and Ontario Street
  • Ontario Street between Bronte Road and East Street
  • Marine Drive between Bronte Road and Nelson Street; local access only
  • Jones Street between Lakeshore Road W and Ontario Street; local access only
  • Nelson Street between Lakeshore Road W and Ontario Street; local access only

Detour Routes

Detour routes in the Bronte area on July 1 include: Third Line, Rebecca Street and Great Lakes Boulevard.

Parking Restrictions

Temporary ‘No Parking Special Event’ signs will be installed in the Bronte area the week of June 26. Parking restrictions indicated by this signage will be enforced between 12:01am and 11:59pm on Saturday, July 1 ONLY.
