Bronte’s Holiday Spirit Comes with a Bear Hug
Saturday, December 5, 2026 | 9AM – 12PM | Taste of Colombia Café
A little kindness can go a long way, especially during the holiday season.
As part of our Kindness on the House initiative, we’re inviting the Bronte community to help bring some extra comfort and Christmas cheer to children receiving care in the Pediatric Unit at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
In partnership with the Oakville Hospital Foundation and Taste of Colombia Café, we’re hosting Bring a Bear, Share Some Care on Saturday, December 5, and we’d love for you to join us!
How You Can Help
It’s simple! Stop by Taste of Colombia Café at 67 Bronte Rd on Saturday, December 5, between 9AM and 12PM, and bring along a brand-new teddy bear or stuffed animal to donate.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Donations must be brand new, with original tags attached.
- All donated stuffed animals will be shared with children receiving care at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital’s Pediatric Unit.
Every bear represents a little extra comfort, a friendly face and a reminder that someone is thinking of them during what can be a difficult time for children and their families.
A Little Thank-You for Your Kindness
As a thank-you for taking part, Taste of Colombia will treat you to a complimentary hot drink of your choice when you drop off your donation.
It’s a lovely opportunity to enjoy a morning in Bronte, support a local business and help make the holidays a little brighter for a young patient who could use a reason to smile.
A warm cup for you. A warm hug for a child who needs one. That’s what Kindness on the House is all about.
