A Very Thankful BIA

Each year, we are gifted a holiday that reminds us to pause and be thankful for what the last year has brought us. This Thanksgiving, we want to thank YOU for your continued support of our local businesses and for all that you do to make Bronte a one-of-a-kind place to work, live and visit.

There is nothing more fulfilling than being a part of something bigger and the sense of community in Bronte is something to cherish. Our neighbourhood is more than just a place to live and work…it’s a place to belong. 

With that, we have a wonderfully long list of thank yous to recognize the people that work to make our community extraordinary:

Thank you to our 175 businesses for their contributions to our local community and economy. So much of what makes Bronte special – our planters and hanging baskets, our Muskoka Chairs, events like the Block Party, Bronte Lake Notes and the Farmers’ Market – all of it is because of THEM.

Thank you to the Bronte BIA Board of Directors who steer the ship of our organization and ensure its overall success.

Thank you to our BIA sponsors – BUM Outdoor Furniture, The Residences at Bronte Lakeside and Amica Glen Abbey who generously support our events and activations.  

Thank you to our community partners (OPL, Oakville Wind Orchestra, CCAH, Bling Events International, Bronte Historical Society, The Bronte Legion, Bandology, Oakvillegreen and OFFA) for choosing Bronte as the backdrop for events and for making Bronte a vibrant district across every season.

Thank you to our 60 At Home in Bronte Muskoka Chair artists who created works-of-art for everyone to enjoy while they visit our neighbourhood.

Thank you to Mike Cuttle for his leadership and extraordinary year-round commitment to bring the Bronte Lake Notes concerts to life each summer.

Thank you to Alison King for creating and moderating an online space for Bronte residents to connect and help each other.

Thank you to Margaux Chane for generously sharing her captivating photographs of Bronte people, places and events.

Thank you to Jason and Angele Montplaisir for putting Bronte’s beauty into perspective with their aerial photos and videos of our waterfront community.

Thank you to The Bronte Coat Drive volunteers who dedicate months of their time to ensure that everyone in Oakville has access to a warm jacket for the winter season.

Thank you to The Bronte Legion for organizing dozens of unique events on a monthly basis and for welcoming everyone to be part of the Legion.

Thank you to our 45+ Farmers’ Market vendors who took a chance on an unknown market this year and brought our Market Square to life every Sunday this summer.

Thank you to our volunteers who are the backbone of our events.  

Thank you to RBC for giving our Book Bike a home and for your generous contributions to our 2024 Block Party.

Thank you to Maryanne Mason, Harry Shea and Dave McCleary who are uniting the community in conversations about improving livability through One Bronte ~ One Voice.

If you support local, dine at our restaurants, window-shop, attend events, walk the pier, sit in our Muskoka chairs, enter our giveaways, share our posts and make Bronte part of your story, we are so very grateful.
