Cheers to a Fabulous February!
Bronte is a vibrant destination across all seasons and February is no exception. It’s a month that celebrates history, culture, food, family, football and love.
We invite you to follow along as we share the story of the social and economic contributions of the Black community in Bronte and beyond. You’ll also find a link to a self-guided Black History Walking Tour that will allow you to explore sites that connect you to Bronte’s Black heritage.
On February 3, two of our local businesses are teaming up to celebrate Lunar New Year. Pop by Simply Green Baby at 1pm for book readings by Catherine Little (a Plumleaf Press author!). Hear the stories of Dragon’s Dilemma and Twelve in a Race. Meet the author, build a dragon and enjoy treats and a takeaway gift for each child.
Wondering who to support on Superbowl Sunday? Your favourite Bronte restaurants of course! Celebrate the big game and score a touchdown for your tastebuds by dining-in or ordering takeout.
Show our small businesses love this Valentine’s Day as you shop local in your quest for the perfect gift. We’ve compiled a list of one-of-a-kind gift ideas for your beloved that you won’t find anywhere else.
Calling all little artists! Colour to win a $50 gift card to Happy Food Hub. Download the Valentine’s Day colouring sheet here.
Take-in in the Heart Beats Concert by the Oakville Wind Orchestra ($20/ticket) at QEPCCC and then book a dinner at one of our amazing Bronte restaurants. Talk about a lovely evening!
And, mark your calendars and get ready for a culinary adventure because Taste of Oakville is back. The event runs from February 15 until March 10 and features restaurants from across Oakville – including two restaurants right here in Bronte.
Family Day Weekend awaits and Bronte has everything you need to celebrate together. Spend an afternoon skating at Coronation Park or stroll along the harbour and take in the fresh air and sunshine. Then warm-up as you share a meal at The Firehall – kids (10 and under) eat free all day and there will be a performance by a magician (3-6pm), plus arts and crafts.
You’ll love making memories in Bronte!
So, bundle-up and delight in everything that February has to offer. We can’t wait to welcome you.
