2026 Town of Oakville Patio Season Countdown: Key Dates Businesses Need to Know

The Town of Oakville’s Seasonal Commercial Patio Program is gearing up for an exciting 2026 season. This year’s patio season will run from May 1 to November 1, 2026, with temporary patios permitted during this period on town-owned lands with an approved permit.

Mark your calendars:

• February 16: On-street patio applications (patios using parking spaces) open
• March 1: Bistro, sidewalk/boulevard, and outdoor display patio applications open
• March 16: Deadline to apply for an on-street patio for permitting consideration and installation by May 1
• April 1: Deadline to apply for bistro, sidewalk/boulevard, and outdoor displays for permitting consideration and installation of patios by May 1
• May 1 – until program end: Ongoing intake of permit applications
